I made a late choice to go to Cape May (Ferry Terminal Road) yesterday and am glad I did.  Dave was already there riding his 10m Bandit 3 and I rigged my 11m C4 which was a perfect choice.  There was a crowd of beach goers, beautiful weather, rough water and consistent wind.  The locals rode Miami (Ave?) a few miles north in flat, shallow water.

This  is the loop road of a pay to enter wildlife refuge.  Have you tried it and or will one get chased out for disturbing the many drive by bird watchers?  Tom

I'm going to head out around lunch time.  If it stays WNW I'd like to check out the beach by the Ferry.  If it turns WSW like it's supposed to, probably the usual Lakes spot.

Anyone have any ideas for today?  Cape May?  Reeds Beach?  Brigantine Bay?

I agree with Dan. Unless you can get out earlier before the winds become unpredictible or riding with experienced people that will most likely be there today. I would just sit this one out. You don't want to break down out there. There will not be any rescue boats waiting tto pick you up if something goes the bad way. I will not be there today. And when I get out of work this afternoon, I may sit this one out too................ Shocked

I urge anyone thinking of riding tomorrow to be extremely careful.  Don't be a kevin  Roll Eyes

If you're thinking about a downwinder up here in the bay, I strongly suggest going ONLY with others that have done the trip before in similar conditions. The entire aspect of the downwinder changes and launching/landing is the most advanced I have done yet, anywhere.   If you get stuck, wind comes up, or gear breaks down during the downwinder, its an extremely difficult exit.   I will not be there tomorrow, and I am not sure Chris will be either.  If we thought it was a good day for it, both of us would be there.

Knarly level is ramping up Shocked

I just saw a preliminary predictation for Friday....NE wind 20-30 knots in am, increasing to N 30-40 knots in the afternoon....

Would like to check out the spot you found Shawn,  I'm just waiting for a tame 15-20 mph day.
